Fall Mantle/ DIY Fall Vase

I am so ready for Fall! The cooler weather, pumpkins, scented candles, the aroma of freshly baked cookies and bread with Family and friends!  Let's not forget the fresh Fall breeze and trees changing color!...Have I got you excited yet? Well today I'm going to share with you some great and inexpensive Fall ideas for your mantle.

Fall vase Tutorial

I started off using a clear glass vase.

I spray painted the vase the color I wanted and let it dry over night! I bought this belt which actually came in a pack of two for $8 @ Walmart then I went to the craft store and found these beautiful burnt orange hydrangeas which were on sale @ AC Moore for $6:50!  Once the vase had dried I placed the belt around the vase to get the right size then cut it with scissors. I had to make a new hole in the belt so that I could fasten it! I then hot glued it to the back of the vase to keep it in place. The flowers had really long stems so I cut them to size and arranged them! Easy right? It came out just exactly how I envisioned it!

Diy For Your Photo Frame

I didn't have a picture to put in my frame so I thought...hmmm....why paint chips of course! Then I wrote on them with chalk, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall! Cheap fix don't you think? The frame is from Marshall's @ a great price for $7:99. I love how it looks!

I bought this cute little tin bucket @ AC Moore for around $2:50 and picked up a couple of stems of hydrangeas which were also on sale for around $2:50 then stuck this chalk board sticker that I had and wrote Autumn on it! You can also find these in any craft store! I found this glass candle holder @ Marshall's for $3:99 and put my tea light candles in it! I'm always losing them so I thought this would be cute and easy to find when I needed them!

Placement

I always like to group things together in 3's. Balance your mantle with objects of the same color. Play around with items that you have. If there is something you love, but it doesn't work because of the color then spray paint it to match the rest of your decor! I hope you have enjoyed these easy to do tutorials. I would love to see some of your Fall projects! Send me an e-mail and picture. I would love to share them.
