Traditional Diy Christmas Wreath

The holidays are fast approaching, Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la! before you know It, It will be Christmas! I know it's a little early, but I thought I would  share this project so that you might want to get some ideas for your Holiday wreath! I don't actually have it on my door I just hung it for the pictures! The neighbors may have thought I was a little crazy!  I will be sharing many projects which I will be posting later on. I love Christmas it's my favorite holiday! Cold crisp mornings, hot chocolate, warm jackets, toasty fires, family and friends! What could be better than all of that! I  love to decorate the whole house! Decorating the tree is the best part! Today I'm going to show you how easy it is to make your own holiday wreath!

This year I'm decorating in traditional reds and greens on the outside and a nature inspired theme inside. I just think these colors really depict Christmas! I love all different themes for Christmas. Last year I did a coastal theme.

Let's get started!
First, place your hydrangeas like so! This is important because I will be putting ribbon on either side of each flower. Loop the ribbon in and out of the wire wreath and tie it at the back. I used wired ribbon. Scrunch the ribbon to get the look you want!

Next step
Once you have put the green ribbon on both sides of each flower do the same with another color again on both sides of each flower! I used burlap and the red ribbon together. I think it's nice to have a lot of texture and pattern, plus the red ribbon has a lovely glittered design on it.

Once you have finished putting the ribbon on, place another hydrangea in between so that you end up with two ribbons on each side of every flower.

I took these pictures at night so the colors are a little  different! I tied this cute little ornament to the wreath to add a little interest and to say Happy Holidays to everyone who comes to my door! : )

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and can't wait to share more projects for the holiday season!

  2. Wow that was a very beautiful and stunning wreath!
I love how you made it stand out, probably because of the vibrant red color.
    Thanks for sharing your ideas.
