Coastal Bathroom makeover

I've been so excited about this project and could not wait to share it with you! We had our home built two years ago and it's taken some time to put it all together. Now our upstairs bathroom is complete and I love how it turned out!

I had a blank canvas and the transformation is awesome! (If I say so myself!) : )

Here are some before pictures...

and...after!

Before I begin, I have to tell you about this great product I found @ Home Depot for under $5! It's a fragrance and you mix it in with your paint! I love it! This one is Clean Linen and smells so fresh! There are other fragrances! I used Martha Stewart's Milk Pail, MSL 122 on the walls!

My husband did an amazing job on the batten! I did not do the board! I just painted the walls white and it came out really nice, plus I saved money! That's always a good thing! : )...Must get pictures at the beach for the frames! : ) I actually found these frames at Target on clearance from $30 to $13! Love a bargain! The hooks were $5 each @ Home Depot! I believe the paint and the wood came to $90! Which wasn't bad for a custom look!

We also added a little shelf which gives it a nice look and I can display my starfish!

My daughter bought this lovely tray for me...She's amazing!

I found this cute vintage basket @ Ross for only $6:99!

I wanted to give the mirror a custom look so I bought these 12x12 tiles for only $5 at Home Depot! They are so easy to cut. You can buy a mat to adhere them to the mirror, but I used 6000 glue then I grouted it! It was my first time doing this! I love how it turned out!

I think I got more on me than the tile! Ha ha!

These number hooks were burgundy and green so I spray painted them white!

Vintage basket from Ross $3:99!

YES!...Time to relax! It's done!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

  3. This is gorgeous! It's amazing what a little paint can do to transforms dated bath to a retreat. I use a similar color for my bath and I am in love with it. Great job...

  4. Saw you at craft frenzy Friday. I love how you put tile border around mirror. Did you do it ON the mirror, or on the drywall just outside it? Just the glue and regular tile grout? Great job. I may need to do that in my boy's bath!

    1. Hi Kristina, Thank you! I glued it to the mirror, then grouted it! I showed a picture of the grout above! I used polyblend non sanded grout because I was afraid the sanded grout would scratch the glass tile. It's so easy to do! Would love to see how yours turns out! : )
