A Berry Garland Christmas Wreath

Some Danes say the symbol of the heart of Christmas means love and respect and was invented by Hans Christian Andersen in the late 19th Century.  Children danced around the Christmas tree and sang Christmas carols. Woven hearts were made and hung on the tree. The hearts were filled with treats and sweets for the children.  How lovely!

This year I'm decorating my home with a Scandinavian touch!  I love their fresh, clean, simple, yet beautifully warm and cozy designs. Today I'm sharing with you how simple it is to make a heart shaped wreath from a 4 ft garland and a few pine cones.

I bought my garland from Target last year for around $8. I was trying to find a place for it, then a thought came!.... You know how that happens!  I just played around until I formed the perfect heart. It's very easy to bend as it is wired!  I also had a box of pine cones which were around $6 a box.  I twisted a few of them around the garland and that's all there is to it!

A beautiful heart shaped wreath to tie in with my Scandinavian inspired  Christmas decor! Easy, inexpensive and so pretty!
