Ocean Blues!

I recently picked up these two pieces from a yard sale last week for a great deal! I couldn't wait to take them home and get started!

I wanted to try Miss Mustard Seed's Kitchen Scale color, but decided to buy a little tester pot  @Home Depot and had them mix up the same tone or close to it, then I took it home mixed up some of my own chalk paint using calcium carbonate! The tester pot was actually enough to paint this dresser! I couldn't believe it! The best part...under $3 for the paint!

Here is Miss Mustard Seed's Color chart!

I think they got it quite close!

As you can see the drawers on top have wooden dividers inside! What a treat!

I don't have a before picture, but the liner was different! I added a new fresh liner that matches!

I love playing around with different accessories! It's fun! Add dimension with simple frames chalk painted in your favorite colors, then add objects inside the frames or against them! Simple, yet powerful! You really don't have to spend a fortune to get a look like this! A little bit of paint and imagination and you are good to go!

I'm so glad the hardware was just right! I debated using different hardware, but these work so well! I also decided not to paint the legs as I thought it looked amazing just left alone! My BEACH sign is awesome if I say so myself! It was an old worn out piece of art from the thrift store, so I re-stained the wood, painted and stenciled it! Now...I LOVE it!

I distressed the edges slightly to give it more of a coastal feel!

We are in the process of doing a board and batten wall without the board!! I am deciding on a beige color for the top! I can't wait till it's done! I love that I can just sit things on top of the shelf that runs the length of the whole wall!

As always, thanks for stopping by! I hope that I have inspired you! Happy decorating!
