Ethan's Nursery

Our friends Ben and Sarah are awaiting their first little bundle of joy! It's a boy! Little Ethan Lewis will be arriving in a couple of weeks! I'm so excited for them!  I have to share a beautiful story with you before I share Ethan's gorgeous nursery.  While Ben was on deployment in Bahrain, he picked up these cute little elephants. The shop owner explained to him that the elephants were pregnant and if he takes them home  they would bring them babies! It wasn't too long before Sarah was surprising Ben at Christmas time by hanging a little stocking on the mantle with the pregnancy test inside! I love that story!

FACT
Did you know that elephants are pregnant for 22 months!

Phew! Glad it's not us!

It all started with elephant's

Our friend Carrie from ahouse2myhome held Sarah's baby shower in her home. The theme for the shower was "Elephant's" These cute little canvases were painted by Carrie along with this beautiful framed art!

So cute!
Both pieces are a great addition to the nursery!

My contribution to the room :
Chalk painted rocking chair, tie-backs and pillows. Sarah purchased the pillow fabric from The Bluebird Shop on Etsy.

Don't you just love this mobile! Sarah had it custom made by Every days beautiful on Etsy.

Isn't the crib beautiful!

So cute! Sarah chose the Taylor nursery bedding collection from Pottery Barn.

Here is the before and after picture of the rocking chair! It's so fresh! Love how it turned out! We actually found it on Craigslist! What a fun time that was! Lol! We actually found another chair, but it didn't work out so Sarah gave it to me and I refinished it! You can see it here. Rocking Chair Makeover

The fabric matched perfectly!

I made these simple reversible tie-backs and pillows! One more will go on the middle panel once I've completed it!

Sarah created a reading area for Ethan. Is this not the cutest set up!

Beautiful words!

Someone is going to have fun on this cute little elephant rocker!

The color pallet is so soothing and fresh. I love it!

How stinking cute! He he!

 I'm loving the quatrefoil mirror!

Ben and Sarah had asked me to take maternity pictures! They turned out so great!

I couldn't resist buying  this adorable outfit for when Nana comes to visit!

Aww.... Ethan's going to have fun with his little toys!

Someone's going to be well dressed!
I think they are ready! : )

I want to wish Ben and Sarah the best of luck when their precious little boy arrives! You will make amazing parents! x
