Happy holidays everyone!
It's that time of year again and I have been busy working on all sorts of Christmas decor. This year I wanted to cozy up my bedroom, and what better way to do that than with pillows!
I wanted to keep the color palette of my bedroom neutral this year. Luckily, I found a gorgeous tan sweater from our local thrift store for only $1.99. It matched everything perfectly and the material was just right! With a little sewing, I fashioned it into a throw pillow.
Here is a first look at my finished Pearl Christmas Tree Pillow.
Once I finished up, all it needed was some embellishments. I bought pearls to make the outline of a Christmas tree. Then added a star, or in this case a sea star button, for the top. And there you go!
Below is the before and after photo.
I'm excited to complete the look! My husband is upholstering a love seat for our room, it's almost done! I can't wait to share before and after pictures. Stay tuned!
Here is what I did with the front of the sweater
Thank you for stopping by.
Happy decorating!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much Amy! You can't beat the price! I love to shop at thrift stores for sweaters, especially cable knit ones as they cost a fortune in the stores! Have a great day xx
DeleteLove your pillow. Can you tell me what you did at the ends of the pearls so that they don't slip off?
ReplyDeleteHi Patty, thank you! I just tied the string they were on a few times and tested it to make sure they didn't come off, then put a little spot of hot glue to make sure!
DeleteLOVE this!! SO clever! Pinning and sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christy x
