Hi friends! I'm so excited to have the chance to link up to Jennifer Rizzo's Holiday House Walk Link Party 2014 for a chance to be in next years Holiday House Walk. Click on the picture above and it will take you to see the most amazing decorated homes this holiday season!
Welcome!
Come on in and make yourself at home! Feel free to ask me questions. I hope that you will find inspiration for decorating your home for the holidays!
Foyer
Add festive colors to your foyer to welcome guests!
For an inexpensive accessory, wrap empty boxes with brown paper, tie them up with string, add cuttings from your tree, then attach some festive ornaments.
I love using nature to decorate, it's so perfect!
Living Room
Do you believe?
My husband helped me construct the barn art. I stained it grey, then dry brushed it with white paint to give it a softer look. For the wreath, I spray painted my magnolia leaves, then hot glued them to wired twine. This project was so easy and inexpensive!
I was in home Depot picking up our tree the other day and thought I would ask if I could have some tree stump cuttings and the guy said, "Take as many as you want!" UM....BAG PLEASE!!! LOL! I think they look great in my wire basket beside the fire! They smell good too!
Isn't he awesome!
For my coffee table centerpiece, I used a piece of wooden art, then simply put two candles inside a wreath and laid a couple of red ornaments on top!
Remember my thrift store finds? I made so many pillows and I love how they turned out! It's so cozy and warm in here! Here is the link to the post. Diy Christmas Pillows
Adding a bit of home! I am from Scotland, UK, so I had to have some tartan somewhere right? My reindeer are sporting little tartan scarfs!
Happy Holidays!
Dining Room
I had so much fun decorating this room! I used a mirror for the centerpiece and added clear glass vases, then filled them with painted pine cones and candles. It's so pretty when they are lit at night!
Hang silver and glass ornaments from your chandelier for a bit of fun!
I found these cute little houses in Ikea!
Last year, I had my husband make this frame from reclaimed wood, then bought and downloaded the chalkboard print online from Caravan.com. It was only $5 to get this size print from Office Max!
Don't leave yet! The party's just beginning!!
Bar
Well, don't mind if I do thank you! Cheers!
Our bar is on the left coming from the living room, into the dining room.
I found this tray on clearance for $8 at Ross and chalk painted it to fit my decor. I just loved the color of the wood and think it looks great now! I used my other mirror here, added little tea light candles to set the mood! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
This is the first year I've decorated my bedroom. I was inspired to do so after I made my Pearl Christmas tree pillow I also have my newly upholstered wing back love seat in here and it looks amazing! My husband decided to take on this job and I was truly happy that he did. I will be sharing a post soon!
Master Bedroom
Doesn't it look amazing?
I love using neutrals! Wrap up boxes with brown paper and add ribbon, then tuck in some cuttings from your tree.
I hope that you have enjoyed my holiday home tour and would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas!
Slange!

ReplyDeleteShirley...your home is so lovely decorated for Christmas! Love all the handmade pillows and the piece above the fireplace...you are so talented!! Merry Christmas! XO
ReplyDeleteThank you Christy! I love your home too. Your tablescape is so pretty and your courtyard is dreamy. My tree looked like yours last year too! Ha ha! It kept falling over and I must have stuffed every pillow in the house in there to keep it from falling!
