Diy American Flag Artwork

It's almost that time again for celebrating the nations birth and pulling out decorations for parties and such! Today I am showing off my new artwork!

While shopping at a local store, I came across this chunky, good sized frame on clearance for $9. You know I couldn't wait to get it home and chalk paint it!

It's an actual picture of a New York map and was sealed at the back. I could have taken it out, but decided to put some burlap over the glass instead! Since it's almost July 4th, I thought this would be a nice idea, plus I gave it a twist with a coastal feel, so it will stay on my wall well after the 4th of July!

I painted the front of the starfish with some craft paint, I would have tried to make a stencil, but this worked out fine! I used tape to make the stripes, then hot glued it onto the glass!

I found two of these lovely seahorse pictures at T.J. Maxx. They are also burlap prints!

Remember my Pottery Barn inspired Beach House sign ?

I'm really glad I put the burlap on top of the glass because you can see the texture of the burlap. Oops!......about those holes!!! Yeah, I'll get  right on it. Haha!

I love this candle holder. I found it at a local store called Home Emporium. It looks lovely on my Beach House Rules tray!

I'm in the process of choosing a paint color for the walls and giving this room a more coastal look, so stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great week friends!
