Hi friends! It's been a while since I've written a blog post. I've just spent almost three weeks in Bonnie Scotland with my family and friends! Since I've been back I've been working on a few projects!
Today I'm excited to share this gorgeous piece that I found on Craigslist!
It has all the original hardware and is in great condition! All I had to do was give it a new life!
After I gave it a good clean, I chalk painted it with Miss Mustard Seed's shutter gray mixed with a lighter gray latex paint, then finished it off with Annie Sloan's clear wax finish! I spray painted the hardware with Rustoleum's white satin, they were pretty rusted up!
I chalk painted the doors inside with Rustoleum's black chalk board paint to add a little fun and to give it a farmhouse feel!
Most of the things you see here are thrift store finds! I had a lot of fun styling this piece!
The lights are from a store in Scotland, UK called Primark and they will be opening here in the States soon!
I love this piece! The hardware looks amazing and the punched tin is subtle, yet has just enough interest!
The trees hanging on the window are from the dollar tree! I cut some
sprigs from my tree to add colour and texture!
A jug filled with extra candles, napkins and recipe books fit snugly in this space!
I added the deer head to bring another pop of white! He looks grand here!
I hope I've inspired you!
Have a great day!
Shirley
