Thinking of making a gift for your friend? Diaper cakes are a great idea for gifts or having a centerpiece for a baby shower. These are very simple to make! I just tied about 3-4 diapers together to form a base then stack the diapers around them, then all you do is grab some raffia and tie it around them in a bow as shown below. Follow the same steps, but make it smaller for the top layer! Add flowers and voila! A pretty centerpiece or gift!
Baby Blue Hydrangea
Pretty In Pink
This is one I made for a friend! I used the same steps as above, but packed it with goodies, such as, ones-ies, bibs, wash cloths, a rattle and miniature sized baby oils and lotions. On the outside I covered the bottom half with a receiving blanket and used baby safety pins to hold it together! I added soft wrist rattles which have Velcro on them and attached them around the ribbon. I used a little blanket again on the top layer and added cute little cut out letters that say, "It's a boy!" I added straw around it because the theme I was going for was Noah's Ark! To top it off I put a soft toy giraffe on top and tied a pretty blue bow around the bottom layer! Enjoy making your diaper cake!
